Using the Status Bar in Microsoft Applications
The Status bar is the bar that runs across the bottom of the screen in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access. It provides useful information about the current file you are working with. For example, in Word, it provides information such as the current page number, the number of pages in the document, as well as the number of words.
But did you know that there are many more options available and you can customize your task bar as well as click on it for shortcuts? You can click on the Page number in the lower left corner in Word to access the Go To dialog box.
To customize your Status bar
- Right click on the Status bar
- Click on the features you want to show/hide on your task bar.
