Slide masters and title masters

How do you prevent changes to the slide master from overriding my previous changes to the title master?When you make changes to the “title” master, then later make changes to the “slide” master, the changes to the slide master will override the previous changes to the title master. The “slide” master takes precedent over any other kind of master.

The solution to make sure your changes to the “title” master stick (or any other slide layout for that matter):
  1. Access the Slide Master by clicking on the View tab and then selecting Slide Master from the Presentation Views Group
  2. Make any “global” changes that you want to apply to the entire presentation to the Primary slide master first
  3. Subsequently, make any specific changes you want to apply to the Title master
