Word 2007
At times it may be useful to see 2 different parts of a multi-page document – such as the beginning and the end, but not necessarily all of the pages in between. This could be useful if you want to cut and paste quickly without having to scroll a lot.
To split your current window in two parts, putting a dividing line with a ruler, as well as two sets of vertical scroll bars, do the following:
- Click on the View tab
- In the Window section, click Split.
- Roll your mouse and click where you want the split to occur
- To quickly remove the split, rest the mouse anywhere over the split line. It will say Resize.
- Double click the mouse.
