PowerPoint – Hiding Slides

Often you may have a PowerPoint presentation, and want to include some slides that you may only decide to cover if a specific question comes up or if you have enough time. You can include them in your presentation, but hide them by default by using this trick.

  1. Click Slide Sorter View in the bottom right hand side of your PowerPoint window
  2. Select a slide, or slides (using your Ctrl key)
  3. Right-click and select the Hide Slide button
  4. To display a hidden slide, during your presentation, press the H key on your keyboard when you are on the slide preceding it
