How do I keep windows from grouping task bar items?

Windows offers a handy way to help unclutter you taskbar by grouping icons that all start from the same program.

Sometimes it is more convenient to actually see all of the icons in an ungrouped fashion.

To ungroup similar items do the following.

1. Right click on a blank part of the task bar and select properties.
2. Uncheck the box “Group similar task bar buttons.”
3. Click Ok.
