At times you may want to only copy the values or maybe the formats within cells, not the actual formulas in the cells. Accessing the Paste Special dialog box give you many options from which to choose.

Here’s what to do to paste the values, NOT the formulas.

1. Select the cells that contain the values you want to copy.
2. Right-click the selected cells, and click Copy.
3. Right-click where you want to paste the values.
4. Select Paste Special
5. In the Paste Special dialog box, select Values.
