Change the text angle in a cell
You can change the direction of text in a cell so that it better fits in a cell or stands out more. This includes changing the degree of its angle.
- Select a cell or row of cells
- Right-click on one of the selected cells and choose Format Cells
- On the Alignment tab, double click in the Degrees box under Orientation and type the desired angle degree, or grab the red diamond in the Orientation thumbnail picture and drag it to the desired angle
- Note how the text direction shows in the preview box under Orientation, then click OK
- You should see the angle change in your selected cells
